STAND
(Simply Trust And Never Doubt)

Simply trust and never doubt is a phrase I’ve heard before
But when you look a little deeper…it reveals a whole lot more The beginning letters of each word spell out a winning plan Trust in God will erase your doubt and give you strength to stand

Sometimes it’s very hard to stand…when there’s turmoil all around The winds and waves of living here…can knock you to the ground Your trust is battered and feels unstable, just like the shifting sand So you must dig in really deep to maintain the faith to stand

For answers do not always come…in the time frame we would choose And if you get ahead of God, that's a sure-fire way to lose His timing is impeccable; He will hold you in His hand And by His might, He’ll lift you up and give you grace to stand

Speak the promises in His word; they were given from His heart Clear instructions to give us guidance to step up and do our part “Standing” is a partnership…an awesome team of two While your hand reaches up for His…He’s reaching down for you

He knows how tough it is to trust when the tide is rushing in And you are faced with troubled waters that reach right to your chin It’s only when you lift your head, that you’ll see the solid land It’s only when you look above, that you’ll find the peace to stand

Simply trust and never doubt…because God is on your side
A cry for help from a struggling child…has never been denied When we decide…no matter what…that we are going to stand We’ll stay secure through every storm, cause we’re sheltered by His hand
